Introduction
The English Department’s Creative Writing minor provides undergraduate students of any major with opportunities to develop as writers within a variety of creative contexts. The courses in the program enable students to develop both writing craft and technical proficiency. In addition to taking foundations courses that introduce students to the discipline, students take workshop courses and electives in any genres they choose. Through artistic community and literary engagement, students will develop their own writing philosophies and catalogs of techniques in service of pursuing a body of work.
